one of the ministries i'm involved w/ here in jeffreys bay is helping with a high school youth group @ the church i attend, deo doxa. i absolutly love the people from the church, and im making some incredible friends. last friday we did a play on the prodigal son. we did a now a days version of it... we had a son who snuck out of his house, went to a club & partied, came home & demanded his share of money from his fathers will & then went and blew it all on alcohol. the son then came home & the father forgave him and accepted him back. i had to play a sleezy girl from the club while my other friends got to play the prodigal son, the "good son", the mother & father, the club owner "pimp", & then gangster people. it was really cool & it was awesome the way we reached the kids through it. we broke into small groups & had a discussion about it and talked about forgiveness & my friends who also help in the youth group shared about times when they partied in high school but they came back to their parents & told them and they forgave them. we really reached the kids through it. hencor then gave an invitation for them to accept christ if they havent already, or just to ask for forgiveness. almost all of the kids came forward to pray. it was one of the coolest things i have ever experienced, praying with people to accept christ & for others to ask for forgiveness. god is so awesome! i love working with the high school kids, its where my heart is. i'm so excited to see what else god has in store for the youth group this year.

ithemba is going alright... we've been struggling w/ trying to figure out a structure that works. we had a meeting last night to plan our lessons & we made a new plan of how to do things each week. please pray for me, chelsea, ty, rachel, sarah, and jenny as we put our hearts into ithemba and try to make it work. we need to be backed in prayer.
