this week i finished my first full week of ministry here in jeffrey's bay. it feels really good to have a schedule and a set place to be doing ministry finally. it's also easy for me to start forming relationships with the people i'm ministering with. monday through thursdays from 1-4 pm i go to ithemba. i help with the after school program they have. ithemba is a church in the black township of tokoyo sexwale. the children are an average age from 4 years old to sixth grade and there are 80-100 children. i work with three amazing ladies; noomsa, queen, and lusanda. the children are absolutly adorable and so precious. friday's are our off days, but friday nights from 7-9:30 ish i go to a church called deo doxa and help with their youth program. deo doxa is a white, afrikan speaking church. the young adults at the church that go to deo doxa's bible college, they also help with the youth group and i am forming amazing relationships with them. on monday, wednesday, and saturday mornings from 9-12 we have discipleship time. basically, its a time where our team dives into the word together. we also have books that aim requires us to go through throughout the year, we read those and discuss them in those times. the books are pretty cool though, im actually excited to read them. and on sunday's we go to church and then at night we go to deo doxa for the young adult service, which is amazing. i look forward to it every week.

i cant even begin to explain the things that god is doing in my heart. i am learning so much. i wouldn't trade this time in my life for anything in the world. i am beyond grateful for all of you who have and are continuing to support me.

one other thing, i am now coming home for christmas break! it was something i prayed about for a few weeks and finally felt like that was the right decision, with the support of my family. i am so thrilled and i cannot wait to see everybody. i will be home december 15-january 15. i am so excited to see my family & spend time with friends.

just a few prayer requests:

i really would like to raise some money to help the church im working at, ithemba. there are various projects that need to be done and things that the children need. i don't have any idea how to go about this but if anyone has support ideas or ideas on how to raise money i would love to hear them. or if anyone has ideas that we can do through their church. most of all , just pray for this for me. :)

second, please pray for the health of my team. over half of our team is sick and isn't able to go to their ministries. it all kind of started with me, and well living in community... everyone gets sick. so please pray for our health.

thanks for all of the support! i love and miss ya'll!

 i don't know if all of you have heard of the group Shane & Shane. It's Christian music. But anyways, it's amazing music. The below lyrics are to a song called "You Said" by Shane & Shane. It's an amazing song. I highly recommend their music.

you said, "ask and you will receive whatever you need."
you said, "pray and I'll hear from heaven,
and i'll heal your land."
you said your glory will fill the earth
like water the sea.
you said, "lift up your eyes;
the harvest is here, the kingdom is near."
you said, "ask and i'll give the nations to you."
oh lord, that's the cry of my heart.
distant shores and the islands will see.
