this week has been a week of god opening my eyes to new ideas & oppurtunities. i've been trying to figure out my life & my future... but most importantly i want to do what god wants me to do. i want to go where he wants me to go, whether that means going to india, europe, or back to the states, i dont know. at this point i'm not sure what god is calling me to. i have different ideas & oppurtunities in front of me, but i'm praying for wisdom & discernment in doing what he wants me to do. god has been so faithful to me, and even when i didnt think it, he has been leading me every step of the way. i probably would have never came to africa if i wouldn't have been called to mexico and going on numerous trips out there as a little girl. every little part of my life has somehow added into a bigger part and i'm just now seeing and realizing it. through discipleship & my own prayer time, god is opening my eyes to new things.

my week at ithemba was pretty good. i enjoyed being with the kids. we taught them about forgiveness this week. my class is communicating with a class from lost creek, kentucky. they are communicating with third and fourth graders at a school called riverside christian. terry shumaker, my old pastor, friend & a man who was with me in mexico as a young girl is their teacher. my class and his class are emailing eachother weekly with questions and information about each other. it was cool to see the questions my class asked... tough questions about life. i figured they would be questions like what is your favorite color? typical questions that a first or third grader would ask. however, the questions i got from my kids were nothing like that. they were questions like: do your parents beat you? have you ever been abused? do you have parents? . i knew about the lives of the children i teach, i knew how much they had been through, but hearing them ask these questions hit something inside of me. it broke my heart. however, a lot of the things that my kids are going through are the same things that the kids they are writting to have gone through as well. it's cool to see them know that they arent alone, that other kids in the world are struggling with those things as well. i've really enjoyed being with the kids this week. their happiness and their laughter was contagious.

i'm also involved with a few other ministries here as well. i joined the core for deo doxa, basically the leadership team for the youth & young adults ministries. i help with the youth group & i take part in the young adults on sunday nights as well as bible study & core planning on tuesdays. on friday mornings, for an hour, i have started teaching a "JOT" class with hilliary. it means jesus our teacher, it's a class at the primary school. we teach a group of 6th graders. this morning was our first morning, the kids were so great. they were a lot of funย & well behaved. it made me excited to see what will happen.

my day today is kind of busy. friday's are our off days, however, i have ministries on this day as well... so i stay busy. this morning i taught jot class at 7: 30 am, then i came home and slept a little, and now im downtown on the internet and maybe getting lunch. tonight i have to be at the church for youth group @ 5 to set up and get things ready, youth group starts at 7 and ill be there till probably 9:30-10:00 ish. it should be a great day! j bay has been chilly & rainy the past two days. it feels like a fall day in indiana. its not actually cold, but its not hot like it usually is. for the first time in a long time i came to town in jeans and a sweatshirt instead of shorts & a tank top.

thanks for taking the time to read my babbelings. god bless! :)
